Caregiver Companion for Alzheimer’s, PSP and Neurological Conditions

Compassionate support, trusted companionship, and peace of mind for your family

When a loved one is living with Alzheimer’s, PSP, dementia, or another neurological condition, families need far more than practical help. They need trust, patience, emotional stability, and someone who genuinely understands what daily caregiving feels like.

I offer my services as a caregiver companion for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), dementia, cognitive decline, and other neurological conditions, based on real-life caregiving experience, consistent companionship, and a deeply human approach.

I cared for my mother for 5 years while she lived with PSP, and I also cared for my uncle for 1 year as he faced Alzheimer’s. Those years taught me that meaningful support is not only about helping with routines. It is also about observing carefully, remaining calm, offering dignity, and being a stable presence for both the patient and the family.

I do not present myself as a nurse or a medical professional. I offer my service honestly as a caregiver companion with real family caregiving experience, someone prepared to provide companionship, supervision, daily support, and a reliable human presence.

If you are looking for a caregiver for Alzheimer’s, a senior companion caregiver, a PSP caregiver companion, or someone trustworthy who may also travel with the patient or support a family for months or years, this page is for you.

Human-centered companionship that supports the whole family

Caring for someone with a neurodegenerative disease changes the entire household. Daily routines become more demanding. Rest becomes limited. Emotional pressure grows. Fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion often build quietly over time. Many families try to manage everything on their own until the burden becomes overwhelming.

The right caregiver companion can make a real difference.

My service is designed to support the patient while also easing some of the emotional and practical weight carried by adult children, spouses, siblings, or close relatives. Knowing that your loved one is not alone, and is accompanied by someone calm, attentive, and patient, can transform daily life for the whole family.

This service is meant for families who value kindness, steady support, and a respectful approach. It is for those who are not looking for cold or mechanical care, but for a dependable and compassionate presence.

What my caregiver companion service can include

My service can be adapted to the needs of each family. Depending on the case, I may assist with:

Daily companionship and supervision

A stable presence so the person is not left alone and has calm companionship during the day or evening.

In-home companionship

Support with routines, attentive presence, responsible observation, and help maintaining a more stable home environment.

Medical appointment accompaniment

I can accompany the patient to doctor visits, checkups, evaluations, or therapies, providing support during transportation and waiting times.

Emotional support and calm presence

In moments of confusion, anxiety, repeated questions, or emotional difficulty, a peaceful and patient companion can be very valuable.

Walks, outings, and transportation support

For families who need assistance during activities outside the home or while moving from one place to another.

Night shifts or extended support

Depending on the situation, support may be arranged by the hour, half-day, full day, overnight, or for longer stays.

Travel companionship

I can accompany the patient during domestic or international travel, helping the family feel safer and more supported during transportation and stays.

Long-term support for families abroad

I am also open to traveling and supporting a family for months or years, depending on the location, situation, and agreed conditions.

Real-life caregiving experience with Alzheimer’s and PSP

My experience does not come from theory. It comes from daily caregiving, from years of showing up, from learning how to notice small changes, from understanding family fatigue, and from adapting to good days and difficult days with respect.

5 years caring for my mother with PSP

PSP can affect movement, balance, vision, speech, swallowing, and independence. Caring for someone with this condition requires patience, sensitivity, observation, and consistency. I learned the importance of routine, practical anticipation, and preserving dignity through every stage of the process.

1 year caring for my uncle with Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s brings different challenges, including memory loss, confusion, repetition, behavior changes, and progressive dependence. This experience strengthened my understanding of how essential calm presence, patience, and respectful companionship truly are.

Both my mother and my uncle passed away in 2025. Turning that lived experience into a service for other families is my way of giving purpose and value to what I learned through caregiving.

Benefits of choosing a caregiver companion with real family experience

Greater peace of mind for the family

Knowing your loved one is accompanied by someone attentive helps reduce stress and worry.

Warm and human companionship

This is not just about being present. It is about accompanying with dignity, respect, and emotional steadiness.

Flexible support

The service may adapt to hourly needs, daily care, travel situations, specific schedules, or longer-term support.

Better daily stability

Consistent companionship helps maintain routines and a more organized, calmer environment.

Calm presence during difficult moments

Neurological conditions often come with emotionally complex days. A steady companion can help reduce tension.

Genuine understanding of the process

Personal caregiving experience with Alzheimer’s and PSP brings a deeper awareness of both patient needs and family exhaustion.

Travel availability

Not every caregiver companion is available for relocation, transportation support, or international travel. This can be especially valuable for some families.

My caregiving approach

My service is built around five essential values:

Respect

Every person deserves dignity, no matter their level of dependence.

Patience

Calmness is essential when supporting someone with Alzheimer’s, PSP, or cognitive decline.

Observation

Paying attention to emotional, physical, or behavioral changes leads to better support.

Empathy

The patient matters, and so does the emotional load the family is carrying.

Honesty

I do not offer medical or nursing services. My role is clear: companionship, human support, and reliable daily presence.

Available for travel and long-term family support

One of the strongest aspects of my service is flexibility.

I can accompany a patient during travel within the country or abroad, whether for medical reasons, relocation, family visits, or temporary stays. I am also open to discussing opportunities to move to another city or country in order to support a family over a longer period.

This may be especially helpful for families who:

  • need stable support at home,

  • want assistance in Spanish,

  • are looking for someone trustworthy and mobile,

  • or need committed companionship over an extended period.

Why choose me as a caregiver companion?

Because there is a big difference between understanding these conditions from the outside and living through them inside a family home for years.

Real experience teaches things that brochures and general information cannot:

  • how to stay calm,

  • how to accompany without overwhelming,

  • how to support routines with compassion,

  • how to understand family stress,

  • and how to remain emotionally steady during difficult stages.

My offer is simple, but valuable: a reliable, respectful, patient, and deeply human presence.
